Frequently Asked Questions
Fill out the contact form on our website to schedule a free initial phone consultation. During this call, we’ll discuss your child’s needs and determine if a comprehensive speech and language evaluation is recommended. Based on the evaluation results, we’ll review personalized therapy recommendations tailored to your child.
At this time, Corazón Speech Therapy is a private pay practice. While I do not accept insurance directly, I understand this may be an inconvenience, and I sincerely apologize for that. To help offset costs, we provide a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement, depending on your out-of-network benefits. I strongly encourage parents to contact their insurance company before starting services to inquire about coverage and reimbursement for speech therapy. I am also working toward becoming an approved Medicaid provider and will update this page when that becomes available.
I provide speech and language therapy for children ages 2 to 13 years. Evaluations are available for individuals up to 18 years of age.
Speech therapy sessions take place in Indianapolis, IN, and can be conducted in your home, at your child’s daycare or preschool, whichever setting works best for your family.
A speech and language evaluation is the first step in creating a personalized therapy plan. I use a dynamic approach that may include: standardized and/or non-standarized testing, parent input, observation, and language sampling to get a full picture of your child’s communication skills.
A new evaluation usually isn’t needed if the previous one is under a year old. I can review the existing report to update goals that fit your child’s current needs and any concerns you share. However, if you prefer a more current assessment or a second opinion, I’m happy to provide a new evaluation upon request.
Great question! “Corazón” means “heart” in Spanish, which reflects the heart-centered care we provide. Due to character limitations on legal and website forms, the accent mark is sometimes omitted. Whether you see “Corazon” or “Corazón,” it’s the same practice—always with heart! ❤️
Please feel free to contact us! I sincerely appreciate your consideration of Corazón Speech Therapy and look forward to supporting your family.
